Description
With its 85 inch, 8K Mini LED screen, the Sony BRAVIA XR-85Z9KU is at the cutting-edge of premium TV.
8K Mini LED
Featuring Mini LED technology, powered by the Cognitive Processor XR, this Sony 85 inch 8K TV delivers the ultimate picture quality – in ultimate 8K. If you thought 4K was impressive, 8K Mini LED will leave you speechless! With four times the resolution, enhanced brightness and incredible detail, 8K Mini LED gives the picture texture, depth and detail that’s the most lifelike yet.
Sony’s Cognitive Processor XR just keeps getting better
Sony’s Cognitive Processor XR marries AI to cognitive intelligence for a picture balance that’s best suited to humans rather than just algorithms. The processor analyses every element of the picture to give a sharper image with greater depth and realism. The latest processor features Depth Control and Flexible Colour Contrast Control for even greater depth and colour vibrancy on this impressive Sony 85 inch TV.
XR Backlight Master Drive makes Mini LED better than ever
Using tiny, Mini LEDs, the Sony’s XR Backlight Master Drive makes the picture more controllable than ever. Mini LED screens give hugely improved contrast, brightness and detail, making the picture more vivid and lifelike than ever. Controlled by Sony’s powerful XR processing, the ultra-dense LEDs are controlled with absolute precision, delivering extraordinary brightness, without the ‘bloom’ of some rivals.
The smoothest images with XR Motion Clarity and 8K XR Smoothing
Sony’s XR X-Motion Clarity maximises the advantage of 8K resolution. By controlling the backlighting with greater precision this Sony 85” TV offers enhanced realism, especially with fast-moving sports and action movies. 8K XR Smoothing reduces the ‘banding’ effect that can afflict other 8K TVs. This means you get the full benefit of 8K detail with super-smooth motion.
Picture quality as the creator intended – NCM, Dolby Vision and Calman Ready
Compatible with a wide range of technologies, the XR-85Z9KU reproduces visuals, just as the creator intended. If you’re a movie fan, you’ll love NCM (Netflix Calibrated Mode). NCM bypasses many of the TV’s processors, giving you a picture that’s much closer to how the filmmaker intended. Calman Ready, this TV is also ideal for those who wish to calibrate their TV to truly professional levels.
Cinematic scale – 85 inch screen
Featuring an impressive 85 inch screen, the Bravia XR-85Z9KU makes the ideal TV for an impressive home cinema system. As big as some projector screens, this 85 inch Sony TV strikes the ideal balance between movie maestro when you want and discreet, everyday TV when you don’t.
XR Triluminos Pro and XR Contrast Booster 20 for ultimate colour and depth
Sony continues to deliver class-leading picture quality with its unique technologies. XR Triluminos Pro combines with XR Colour to deliver the truest and most natural colour. For the highest levels of contrast and detail, XR Contrast Booster 20 adjusts the brightness to give brighter peaks and more detail within darker areas.
XR Sound Position with 3D Surround Upscaling for enveloping sound
Part of the Cognitive Processor XR, XR Sound Positioning works to sync the sound to the correct part of the image, as accurately as possible. XR Surround with 3D Surround Upscaling takes a regular audio signal and creates a virtual surround sound effect – making you feel more immersed in the action.
Acoustic Multi-Audio for dynamic sound
Sony’s unique Acoustic Multi-Audio speaker system enhances the sync between what you see and what you hear. Frame speakers pinpoint the sound to the action, heightening the sense of connection and realism. Front-facing subwoofers enhance the bass, giving you the powerful sound that action movies and big-scale soundtracks deserve.
Stay in touch with BRAVIA CAM*
BRAVIA CAM is the innovative new camera that does so much more than video calls. BRAVIA CAM recognises where viewers are sitting and optimises the picture and sound to suit. It also facilitates the use of gesture control. All this plus it still functions with your TV to make it the ultimate device for video calls.
*Gesture control and auto optimisation function due later in 2022
