S.T. Dupont Paris Star Wars Limited Edition Darth Vader Levitation Light Saber Light Saber Fountain Pen

To celebrate the 7th installment in the Star Wars film franchise S.T. Dupont released a line of Limited Edition Star Wars inspired products.

The Star Wars Haute Creation Collection features levitation fountain pens disguised as light sabers. There are two of these, one for Darth Vader the powerful Sith Lord leading the dark side of the force presenting red topaz at the end of his light saber, and green topaz for Master Jedi Yoda for the light side of the force. This particular Limited Edition product focuses on the dark side which is shown by the two carat red topaz mounted in the top of the elegant weapon. The Limited Edition Star Wars light sabers are fashioned from bronze with black lacquer, palladium and rhodium presentation.

The pen is presented on a floating platform achieved through magnetic levitation, or Maglev for short. A process by which an object can be suspended with no support other than magnetic fields. Magnetic force is used to counteract the effects of gravitational acceleration.
