Montegrappa's new release is one of the most momentous discoveries of the 20th century. November 4, 2022 marks 100 years since the discovery of King Tutankhamun's tomb in Egypt's Valley of the Gods. Tutankhamun commemorates Carter's discovery through its most enduring image: the pharaoh's extraordinary solid gold death mask. Cloisonné, bas-reliefs and black diamonds decorate a sculpted recreation of one of history's most iconic symbols. Beneath the cap, a sculpted body offers a stylized representation of Tutankhamun's mummy. Crafted in sterling silver, its antiqued effect is achieved organically with a cataphoretic coating.
